A few years ago, Lubriplate completed an extensive plant survey for a large tomato canning and bulk processor. Based on their plant survey, Lubriplate was able to consolidate over 50 different lubricants to just 17, with some being consolidated to synthetics, particularly in gearbox application.
Right off the bat, their customer documented a dramatic increase in equipment life, saving them tens of thousands of dollars in gearbox replacements. The customer also took full advantage of Lubriplate’s free oil analysis for oil and equipment reliability, and their color-coding program for fewer breakdowns and better productivity.
After Lubriplate stepped in to help, their customer, due to a corporate mandate, was forced to switch to a “lower cost lubricant supplier”. The corporate mandate didn’t last more than 18 months and today, they are once again working with Lubriplate.
