A local forging facility was in need of a safer, more productive and reliable solution to protect their hoses and adaptors that they used for several applications (air, water, hydraulic, cord, natural gas, welding, etc.). They were finding that many of their existing hose reels were failing causing pre-mature hose failure as well as confusion and potential safety hazards that were all leading to loss of productivity. Our team and ReelCraft worked with the local forging facility to ensure we identified the proper design/style of hoses, reels and adaptors to maximize safety, hose life and productivity. New color-coded hoses were implemented to maximize efficiency, and new hose reels were installed to keep hoses organized and off the floor to eliminate safety hazards and improve hose life expectancy. Upon testing all of the new tools, the new reels and hoses were standardized throughout the plant.
